NEW DELHI: Tata Motors’ second electric car in the personal mobility space Tigor EV is set to debut on August 31. Spy shots revealed Tigor EV is expected to run over 300 kilometers on a single charge.
Tigor EV, much like the Nexon EV, is powered by a company’s Ziptron electric module. Tigor EV, however, gets a smaller 26 kWh battery pack against Nexon EV’s 30.2 kWh.
Nexon EV delivers 312 kilometers (claimed) against a single charge. Talking to TOI, company officials claimed Tigor EV will deliver a similar range as Nexon EV without elaborating further.

Mechanically, Tigor EV will be lighter than Nexon EV, hence a smaller battery pack will be able to offer a similar range.
Launch, reveal of range, and other key details will be announced on August 31 and the company has commenced the bookings for the electric sedan at select dealerships at Rs 21,000.
In terms of design, Tigor EV gets blue inserts on brake calipers and grille, and signature tri-arrow shapes much like Nexon EV.
The Tigor EV delivers a peak power output of 55 kW and a peak torque of 170 Nm. It does 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds.

The images surfaced on social media show the driver’s display. According to the image, the Tigor EV can run 204 kilometers with 59% battery left. Effectively, this translates into 300+ kilometers on a fully charged battery.
While the range is speculated, the actual numbers will be confirmed after the launch.
